The Straffordville Watermelon Festival is our town's signature summer event, bringing together the community for a celebration of all things watermelon!
Our Mission: Community through inclusiveness
Our mission is to support and uplift communities through non-profit initiatives, volunteerism, and a commitment to inclusiveness. We strive to inspire and unite individuals by promoting education, physical activity and family-friendly events and festivals that foster connection and joy. Through ongoing fundraising efforts, we aim to sustain these initiatives while enhancing local tourism, supporting commerce and encouraging meaningful community engagement.
Join us for watermelon eating contests, seed spitting competitions, live music, local vendors, and family-friendly activities that make this annual tradition one of the most anticipated events of the year.
